Confitura 2025 is already behind us, yet close enough to remember the conversations, ideas, and moments that made it special. Some things ended when the rooms emptied. Others stayed with us and are already shaping what comes next.

Confitura was never just a conference. Talks, workshops, and speakers matter, but they are artifacts. What we aim to serve are the conditions for learning, confidence, and real connection. The 15th edition showed that clearly, with over 450 attendees and 60 speakers spending two days learning with intention rather than rushing between rooms.

If you want to revisit those moments, the full Confitura 2025 playlist is now available and well worth watching.

We are happy to share that work on Confitura 2026 is already underway. We will meet again on 25–26 September 2026 at the ADN Conference Centre in Warsaw, keeping the same format because it works. As before, workshops that are often paid trainings on the market will be part of the ticket, thanks to experts contributing pro bono.

The conference was never the goal. First and foremost, we wanted to have you there, and the values you care about most.

Dear Confiturians,

The moment we have all been waiting for is almost here. Confitura begins tomorrow, and we would like to share with you the most important information to ensure that your experience is smooth and enjoyable from the very beginning.

Registration opens at 8:00, and the official opening will take place at 9:00. After a short introduction, we will let you dive directly into the rich program of talks and workshops. The conference will be held at the ADN Conference Centre, Grzybowska 56.

Important: Upon arrival, please proceed to the registration desk on the ground floor, where your ticket will be checked. From there, you will be guided to the 4th floor, where the conference takes place.

On the 4th floor, you will find everything you need in one place: coffee breaks, workshop rooms, cloakroom, toilets, and talk rooms. The only exceptions are lunch and the afterparty. Please keep in mind that lunch is self-organised - you may choose something refined or go for a quick option in the food court located on the ground floor.

The Spoina afterparty will also be held in the food court space, immediately after the first day of the conference. It will be an opportunity to talk more, mingle more, learn more, and perhaps laugh more, all accompanied by beverages of your choice. As a small bonus, the Confitura crew will be sharing drink coupons with attendees - quantities are limited, so be sure to join us early and enjoy the moment together.

To attend the conference, you will need your ticket, either in digital form or printed, though we encourage you to consider the environmental impact before printing. Please make sure you have both your main ticket and, if you are attending a workshop, the separate ticket for that session. On that note, if your workshop is a “bring your own laptop” format, please ensure you have packed everything you require. We cannot provide spare equipment, and while we are well-stocked in pencils, chewing gum, and tissues, laptops are unfortunately beyond our lending capacity. If you have not yet booked a workshop slot, you can still do so at the registration desk with the help of Krzysiek. Please note, however, that workshop capacity is limited, so additional registrations will only be possible if there are still spots available.

The program is long, rich, and packed with content. We encourage you to choose your sessions wisely so as not to overload yourself during the first day - remember, we continue on Saturday. If you happen to miss a talk, all sessions will be recorded and later published on our YouTube channel, albeit with a slight delay. Think of it as a treat to look forward to, though possibly only in 2026.

Finally, if you know a colleague, friend, or perhaps even a stranger you meet at the café while picking up a pumpkin spice latte, do let them know that ticket sales remain open until very late.

Who’s in the mix?

If you are a seasoned reader of our irregular mailings, you have already met Krzysiek, Magda, Dominik, Tymek, and Ida. Now it is time to introduce the last hero of the 2025 edition: Łukasz. A senior software developer at a fintech company, Łukasz has long been part of Confitura as an attendee. This year, we asked him if he would lend us a hand with scheduling and logistics, and he agreed. We are not entirely sure whether he is a member of the 5 a.m. club, but he is certainly the kind of person who prefers to cross items off his to-do list before his morning coffee. We once tried to explain the concept of procrastination to him, but he did not quite grasp the idea.

We’re counting down the days to Confitura! Here’s a reminder for all ticket holders: if you’ve spent 555 PLN on two days packed with talks, fun, and community - you also have the option to join one workshop of your choice.

Workshops follow the rule of “first booked, first served”. Capacity is limited (by design - small groups work best for hands-on learning). So if you’ve been procrastinating, don’t leave it until the very last moment. To reserve your spot, just take the ticket number from your ticket, use it as the “access code” on the ebilet page of your chosen workshop, and you’re in.

But before you pick, check the agenda - it’s full of treasures. The truth is, we received an overwhelming number of fantastic submissions. The community made the final pick, and while we wish we could host every speaker, Confitura lasts only two days this year.

First: Vote for Papers ends this Friday.

This is your chance to help shape the Confitura 2025 agenda and make it the strongest yet. Take a few minutes to browse the submissions and vote for the talks you’d love to see on September 19–20.

This year, Confitura will be a two-day conference, featuring an additional NLP Day track and giving every attendee the opportunity to join a workshop.

As you know, Confitura has always been a non-profit event run by and for the community. We work hard to keep the ticket price accessible, but rising costs mean that this year the price will be 500–550 PLN gross.

You might say that’s ten times more than in 2023 - and you’d be right. But in today’s “This Is Fine IT-pocalypse” market, conference budgeting is more challenging than ever. Let’s face it: without our partners (see below), it would be much worse. Thanks to Krzysiek, we can honestly say it’s money well spent, bringing real value to attendees. This price covers part of the costs: venue, refreshments, recordings, and other essentials that keep Confitura running. In our hyper-agile team, Dominik does it all: frontend, backend, web, mobile, orchestration, and sometimes even sysadmin work… but no, he cannot fix your printer. Please stop asking.

Ida – Marketing Something-Something @ Confitura

Finds gold in community work. Handles marketing, community coordination, events, and copywriting - and feels at home mingling with dev communities while happily playing “the dummy in the room.” No hands-on coding, but can throw JVM buzzwords around with suspicious fluency. Also wrote this very newsletter.

Krzysiek Kozioł, CEO @ Confitura

Krzysiek is the person with the most experience on the team - in life, code, and organizing Confitura.

He’s:

• a seasoned architect and trainer
• a veteran with 25+ years in the industry
• a father of two, and husband after hours
• the one handling budgeting, hospitality, atmosphere planning, and all the high-level logistics

Honestly, we’re not sure how he stays so calm, but Confitura wouldn’t be possible without him. It’s thanks to Krzysiek’s steady hand that the 2025 resurrection of the conference became a reality.

So if you see him at Confitura on September 19–20, be sure to shake his hand - and maybe even say “Dzięki”.
